    Stuart Birnbaum is a writer who overcame his own demons and has devoted his life to the fight against substance abuse. Birnbaum is the recipient of the Writers Guild Award, as well as an Emmy Nomination. He recently founded Meditox and is CEO of Recovery Advocates (www.recoveryadvocatesusa.com), both cutting-edge medical drug treatment programs with locations throughout the United States, and is at work on a book entitled, The New Age Addict. Mr. Birnbaum is also Executive Director of a sober living program called The Lake House (www.lakehousesoberliving.com), whose facility is located on Lake Sherwood in Southern California. He is still developing film and television projects with his brother, Roger Birnbaum, Co-Chairman and CEO of MGM.
