Letter from the Editor

Welcome to the long awaited 2017-2018 Holiday Edition. We have had some changes at Recoveryview over the past few months. Marissa Maldonaldo and myself are the sole Editors for Recoveryview and look forward to our new 501c3 status in 2018. We will update the article submission process to include an email for Marissa and of course always submit to Josie@recoveryview.com.

When is GOD Powerless?

There may be such a Reality that we call GOD. This word is our western culture’s historical symbol. Be very clear, the word is not the Reality. The word is a symbol for this Reality – that which cannot be named. Let’s call it “It.”

Featured Book

Much has been written about the failure to launch for many of the millennial generation. For those whose adult children are chemically dependent, the issues are immensely more complicated and left untreated can result in tragic consequences. Through relevant information and practical tools, the Woodburys have designed a Family Investment Plan that lays a strong foundation for lasting recovery. Enable-ism addresses not only the enabling specific to addiction, but that which inhibits the developmental process that leads to eventual maturation.

For those who treat the chemically dependent and their families, it provides a fresh look at Family Systems Theory, adding to the therapeutic value of family treatment. Whatever your reason for reading Enable-ism, lasting freedom is possible for anyone willing to invest in its life-giving principles, positively impacting the family and their addicted loved one as well as potentially generations to come.
